Lightbulb ADHD

Communication Policy: Clients, Enquiries, Support.

This page explains how I communicate with clients, freelancers, and other service providers.

It gives everyone clear guidelines about my communication style and availability so that you always know what to expect when we are working together.

  • I check messages and emails once per day outside of client session hours.
  • During coaching or focused work time, I am not available for interruptions unless it’s an emergency.
  • I do not check emails from Friday 12 noon to Monday lunchtime or during holiday periods.
Client Messages

You can message me via our private client chat.
I check this daily.

Email

I respond to client emails within 48 hours (Monday-Friday) except during holidays.

VA

My VA can be contacted via email (contact details provided in onboarding).

My Coaching Process

This can change – I love making systems more efficient – but this will be consistent even if the platforms or software change. Please read each of the tabs below to find out more about how I work with clients.

Open the tabs to see details.

Client Portal Access

Clients have access to all forms, documents, appointments, and session details via their Private client portal.

This allows us to communicate securely and safely. It means that everything within our agreement will be kept safe and in one place.

Please do not share your password or email with others. If you lose your password, let us know and we can send you a new one.

Resources (files, documents, etc)

I limit the number of resources and emails I send to prevent overwhelm.

If they are needed, files can be shared via Google Drive and emailed upon request.

I’m very conscious that we often feel that more information is as good as more action – and coaching is all about making changes, taking action and making our lives feel better every day. I won’t hold back information or exercises if I think they are helpful but I won’t add more just to ‘pad out’ our coaching relationship.

Homework

You might have worked with coaches or taken programs before where you are expected to do homework. Lots of us have memories of struggling with this in school or college – but we worry we can’t ‘do anything’ unless someone is holding us accountable.

My general policy is NOT to give work between sessions – YOU will be choosing what you want to work on and YOU will be responsible for carrying it out. You’re smart! (you’re working with me so…)

That means you need to choose carefully what you’re working on – so you’re not adding more ‘shoulds’ to a life already full of demands and stress. ADHD is a disability, you’re not lazy.

However – I will check in on request, I will cheer you on and there’s a lot we can do without homework. OK?

How this benefits YOU:

Focus

You know you’ll get my full focus in our sessions (although you might meet my dogs).

Boundaries

You learn what healthy, respectful boundaries look like in action.

Energy

You get faster, more effective coaching because my energy is spent on deep work, not constant email checking.
