ADHD & Neurodivergent-Friendly Therapy, Counselling & Diagnostic Support

Therapy and Counselling

Diagnosis and Clinical Support

Directories and Information

How to use this page:

This page contains a curated list of UK-based therapy, counselling and diagnostic support that is explicitly ADHD and/or neurodivergent-friendly.

It’s designed to help you explore options outside of coaching and find support that feels safe, informed, and relevant to your needs.

Outside the UK? You’ll find national organisations listed here.

To get the most from this list:

  • Start with the category that matches what you need right now (therapy/counselling, diagnostic support, or directories).
  • Click through to each provider’s website to check their approach, availability, fees, location, and whether they’re the right fit for you.
  • If you’re unsure where to begin, consider focusing on:
    – Neurodivergent-affirming therapy (for emotional support, burnout, trauma, relationships, self-esteem, and anxiety)
    – ADHD-specific CBT or structured therapy (for executive function challenges, overwhelm, and habits)
    – Post-diagnostic support (for adjustment, identity, grief, and learning new strategies)

Important note (please read)

The resources on this page are provided for information only. I have included them because they appear to offer services that are ADHD and/or neurodivergent-friendly, but:

  • I do not endorse, recommend, or guarantee any provider or service listed
  • I am not affiliated with these organisations unless explicitly stated
  • I am not responsible for the content, policies, availability, pricing, outcomes, or quality of any external website or service
  • Providers may change their services over time, so please always confirm details directly with them

Right to Choose (England Only)

In England you may ask your GP to refer you to a private diagnostic clinic. Although there are waiting lists, these are often substantially shorter than NHS clinics. However, there are ongoing medication fees and other limitations.

Here are national organisations which can help you find local support.
